An FBR security guard said that the training session remained fruitful. He added after the firefighting training, all guards were capable of overcoming the fire situation and to save the lives of employees.

Official sources said the department should take measures regarding maintenance of safety equipments and fire alarms in the field offices. They added that the condition of fire alarms was poor that needed to be repaired as only fire fighting training was not enough to tackle the emergency situation. They demanded that tax offices should be equipped with latest firefighting apparatus.

Sources also said that the FBR had sent letters to all field offices regarding the firefighting training of the guards. The FBR is an important department of the state that generates revenue. It has important documents, sensitive equipment and database of all taxpayers.

Besides, there are thousands of employees at the FBR Headquarters and in all field offices who must be saved. The sources said the department has taken these steps to preserve the important record of taxes and lives of the employees.
