Closing: Bears regain control at KSE with 79pts or 0.24% in negative

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index lost 79.11 points or 0.24 percent to reach 32763.48 points and volume of 83,565,370 shares on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the KSE benchmark 100-index  gained 332.24 points or 1.02 percent to reach 32842.59 points and volume of 139,203,500 shares.

Total volume traded in the market was 148,710,740 shares with 330 total traded companies out of which 143 were up 163 were down and 24 were unchanged.

Refinery was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 18,638,400 shares. It was followed by Automobile Assembler with a total traded volume of 16,964,850 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron with a volume of 14,567,000 and price per share of 68.16 (0.26), Ghani Automobile with a volume 12,625,000 of price per share of 7.97 (0.69), Pak Int.Bulk with a volume 7,571,500 of price per share of 34.23 (0.36).

The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 937.27 (44.63), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1145.77 (39.38) and Mari Petroleum XSD share of 446.01 (13.74).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize XD with price per share of 8819.00 (-179.00), Shezan Inter. with price per share of 936.10 (-48.90) and Sanofi-Aventis per share of 617.00 (-31.99).

High and low were 32850.07 and 32671.91 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 83,565,370 shares.
