KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index lost 184.79 points or 0.56 percent to reach 32784.94 points and volume of 84,631,970shares on Monday.
Till midday, stocks witnessed variation in trading as KSE-100 index gained 14 points to reach 32983.74 points level.
Earlier, the stocks opened with negative note as Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE-100 index shed 11.92 points to reach 32957.81 points.
On Friday, healthy activity was seen at the bourse throughout the day, as the market continued to gain on positive momentum of the preceding session and ended 0.67% up. The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE)-100 index gained 219.42 points to close at 32,969.73 points as compared to 32,750.31 of the previous session. The KSE-30 Index added 151.15 points and closed at 19,774.73 points against 19,623.57 points of the last closing.
REFINERY was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 23,466,900shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 21,782,000 shares.
The three top traded companies were Byco Petroleum with a volume of 22,563,500 and price per share of 26.57 (0.39), Pak ElektronXD with a volume 15,658,000 of price per share of 79.68 (0.21), Lotte Chemical with a volume 14,307,500 of price per share of 6.89 (0.41).
The top three advancers were AL-Ghazi Trac. with price per share 434.43 (20.68), Murree Brewery with price per share of 1100.00 (16.00) and Service Ind.LtdXD share of 840.13 (14.88).
High and low were 33058.13 and 32738.81 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 84,631,970 shares.
