KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 173.33 points or 0.52 percent to reach 33376.20 points and volume of 72,381,830 shares on Wednesday.
Till midday, the KSE remained in bullish note as 100-index added another 75.67 points to reach 33278.54 points level.
On Tuesday, the equities bounced back to cross the 33,000-point barrier. The KSE benchmark 100-share index rose 1.27% or 417.93 points to end at 33,202.87. Trade volumes fell to 149 million shares compared with Monday’s tally of 166 million shares. Shares of 392 companies were traded on Tuesday. At the end of the day, 234 stocks closed higher, 138 declined while 20 remained unchanged. The value of shares traded during the day was Rs8.5 billion.
High and low were 33407.89 and 33202.87 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 72,381,830 shares.
