Closing: KSE 100-index sheds 506pts, falls 1.47% on volatile session

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index lost 506.25 points or 0.26 percent to reach 33891.08 points and volume of 113,720,910 shares on Friday.
Until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 33930.52 with a negative change of -466.81 and volume of 50,016,440 shares.
Total volume traded in the market was 109,106,930 shares with 308 total traded companies out of which 51 were up, 245 were down and 12were unchanged.
Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 24,712,800 shares. It was followed by automobile assembler with a total traded volume of 11,072,390 shares.
On Thursday, the Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 87.57 points or 0.26 percent to reach 34397.33 points and volume of 129,172,200 shares.
High and low were 34630.10 and 33590.19 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 113,720,910 shares.
