KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 342.95 points or 0.98 percent to reach 35186.56 points and volume of 172,031,570 shares on Thursday.
Total volume traded in the market was 405,858,790 shares with 357 total traded companies out of which 240 were up 102 were down and 15 were unchanged.
Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 75,975,100 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 56,200,000 shares.
The three top traded companies were NIB Bank Limited with a volume of 29,031,500 and price per share of 2.25 (0.05), Byco Petroleum with a volume 23,855,000 of price per share of 24.78 (1.18), Telecard Limited with a volume 21,304,500 of price per share of 4.64 (0.34).
The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 3845.00 (111.56), Unilever Foods with price per share of 7850.00 (107.60) and Exide (PAK) share of 1200.00 (52.21).
The top three decliners were Sapphire Fiber with price per share of 571.00 (-29.00), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1290.00 (-25.00) and Shifa Int.Hosp share of 254.50 (-5.46).
High and low were 35236.34 and 34843.60 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 172,031,570 shares.
