KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 444.74 points or 1.29 percent to reach 34843.60 points and volume of 167,208,560 shares on Wednesday.
Total volume traded in the market was 376,300,610 shares with 346 total traded companies out of which 240 were up 92 were down and 14 were unchanged.
Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 64,703,500 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 57,956,700 shares.
The three top traded companies were Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume of 26,844,000 and price per share of 7.80 (0.51), NIB Bank Limited with a volume 21,515,500 of price per share of 2.25 (0.23), Dewan Cement with a volume 20,488,500 of price per share of 15.15 (0.63).
The top three advancers were Exide (PAK) with price per share 1147.79 (54.65), Siemens Pak. with price per share of 1315.00 (40.77) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 880.00 (34.63).
The top three decliners were Nestle Pak with price per share of 9725.00 (-26.00), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 894.90 (-9.05) and Thal Limited share of 278.35 (-7.08).
High and low were 34878.04 and 34398.86 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 167,208,560 shares.
