Closing: KSE reverts to losing track with 254pts loss for Wednesday

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index lost 254.02 points or 0.74 percent to reach 34077.92 points and volume of 178,144,290 shares on Thursday.

In midday trading, KSE again witnessed negative trend in trading as 100-index lost 254 points to drop to 34077.92 points.

On Wednesday, the Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 198.10 points or 0.58 percent to reach 34331.94 points and volume of 179,594,520 shares.

Total volume traded in the market was 549,220,520 shares with 353 total traded companies out of which 121 were up 212 were down and 20 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 97,304,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 73,055,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume of 42,449,000 and price per share of 7.37 (1.00), Byco Petroleum with a volume 41,296,500 of price per share of 23.63 (0.65), World Call Telecom with a volume 35,559,500 of price per share of 2.30 (0.44).

The top three advancers were Indus Dyeing with price per share 1080.00 (45.00), Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 1600.00 (15.00) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 767.80 (13.80).

The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 7310.25 (-384.75), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 850.00 (-23.38) and Fazal Textile per share of 404.00 (-21.25).

High and low were 34370.12 and 34034.52 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 178,144,290 shares.
