Collector Adjudication Saeed Asad issues two show cause notices in separate cases

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad has issued two show cause notices to Arshad Mehmood, who is involved in smuggling of a generator, and Ghulam Mustafa, who is owner of non-duty paid Land cruiser.

Sources told Customs Today that the authorities had seized the goods under relevant customs laws. Both the suspects had failed to provide any legal documents regarding the possession of the goods.  The customs authorities seized the vehicle and generator and forwarded the cases to the Customs Adjudication.

Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad issued two show cause notices through ASO Sargodha which includes seizure of  non customs paid generator while another was issued to Ghulam Mustafa who is owner of non duty paid Land Cruiser bearing registration no: SGD-5659.

Now the Customs Adjudication has directed both the suspects to appear with legal documents on May 9, 2017 while a representative of the Customs department will also attend the hearing.
