Collector Ahmed Raza directs to start anti smuggling campaign

SIALKOT: Collector Customs Sialkot Ahmed Raza directed the staff to start of anti-smuggling campaign to curb smuggling in the jurisdiction of Sialkot.

Sources informed Customs Today that Collector Raza directed his staff to take every possible measure to get rid of this menace. He instructed staff to control the sale of smuggled items in markets.

Sources said that ASO staff is also enhanced their surveillance to check non-customs paid vehicles which are plying on the road, specially those who are entering the city from Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Karachi.

Collector Ahmad Raza also directed the officials to seize all those vehicles who are plying without payment of token tax. He said that these vehicles only be released after payment of token tax and other taxes liable against the owner of the vehicle.
