Collector Ahmed Reza hails performance of ASO for anti-smuggling operations

SIALKOT: Collector Customs Ahmed Reza has appreciated the performance of Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) staff for curbing smuggling in the region.

Talking to Customs Today, Collector Ahmed Reza said that Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhry and Inspector Sheikh Muhammad Ikram have provided fruitful results and the trend of smuggling is decreasing day by day due to strict vigilance of the ASO staff.

He said that selling of smuggling items is not in favour of the country rather these items causes loss to the national economy. He said that Customs department had tightened its screws around the smugglers in the region.He said that all Customs officials determined that they will curb smuggling from the region and will try their level best remove all smuggling items from shops, markets and plazas while bound all shopkeepers that they must sell the country made items on their shops.
