Collector Appraisement-East lauds staff for collecting Rs 51.371 billion in nine months

KARACHI: Arshad Javed, collector Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East, has reviewed the progress of overall revenue collection during the last nine months of the current fiscal year.

The collector, while chairing a meeting, emphasized the need for checking tax evasion, under invoicing and mis-declaration during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015-16 to stop millions of rupees losses to the country.

In the meeting, he stressed the need for ensuring clearance process smoother and zero pendency in clearance of consignments as well as strengthening the research and development unit of the Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East.

The Collector Customs Collectorate Appraisement East expressed satisfaction on the overall performance of the officers and lauded the collection of Rs 51.371 billion as the customs duty during the nine months of the current fiscal year.
