Collector Port Qasim Mukarram Jah Ansari reviews revenue status of collectorate

KARACHI: Collector Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Mukarram Jah Ansari has chaired a meeting to review the revenue status and its leakages. The meeting was attended by the additional collectors, deputy collectors and assistant collectors.

During the meeting, the Collector Mukarram Jah, stressed upon the officials to ensure achievement of revenue target by the end of the fiscal year 2015-16.

On the occasion, the collector Muhammad Bin Qasim also discussed about the cases which have been pending in different courts for a long time.

The collector was briefed by the additional collector regarding the status of court cases, saying that a team of collectorate is following the legal cases and appointed highly professional lawyers to fight the cases.

Collector Mukarram Jah said that the authorities concerned should expedite their efforts in order to pull out the stuck up revenue of the collectorate so that the revenue target could be achieved by the end of the fiscal year 2015-16.

During the meeting, Collector Mukarram Jah also stressed upon to make the Collectorate of Intelligence Unit (CIU) more effective, so that revenue recovery could be enhanced.

The Collector Port Muhammad Bin Qasim further asked the authorities concerned to ensure transparency in making the cases related to tax evasion, mis-declaration and under-invoicing.

He further directed the authorities concerned of the collectorate to ensure zero pendency in clearing the consignments, so that daily working at the terminal could not be affected.
