Collector Qurban forms bodies for resolution of problems on Torkham border

LAHORE: Collector Customs Qurban Ali Khan has announced the formation of committees for the resolution of some genuine problems of the exporters, importers, clearing agents and transporters of Torkham and assured them resolving their problems on priority basis.

He made this announcement during his visit to Torkham on Thursday. On this occasion, Additional Collector Syed Fazal Samad, Deputy Collector Salman Yaqub, Deputy Collector Torkham Fazal Shakoor, Superintendents and inspectors were also present. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector Customs said their doors are open for the business community and will be welcomed whenever they come to him. He said Pakistan Customs has always made efforts for the mitigation of the hardships of business community and increase in the national revenue. He said the basic purpose of his visit to Torkham is the resolution of their problems.

In this connection, he said they will also talk to political administration. Qurban Ali Khan also appreciated the proposal of the meeting between customs authorities and business community on monthly basis. He said he is fully aware that the trade of the most of tribesmen is linked with Afghanistan and they will not let them alone in this regard.
