Collector Raja Tahir issues notice to suspect in vehicle smuggling case

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed has issued a show-cause notice to Muhammad Ilyas Khan in a case pertaining to a non-duty paid Hino Truck worth Rs 4.917 million.

The case was filed by the Faisalabad Customs Intelligence. The adjudication collector has directed the accused party to attend the hearing on May 2, 2016.

Meanwhile, Collector Raja Tahir Majeed heard four cases of non-duty paid, Nissan Truck, Hino Truck, Toyota Mark-X and cotton yarn involving Rs 14.206 million on Tuesday.

The three cases were registered against Muhammad Azam, Rashid and Muhammad Tausif respectively, while a case was referred by Lahore Post Clearance Audit against M/S Shengshan.
