SIALKOT: Collector Ahmad Raza Khan has taken special measures to curb foreign currency and gold smuggling at Sialkot International Airport.
The collector has deployed extra staff at arrival, departure lounges and VIP lounges, and impoved luggage checking and scanning, body searches of suspected passengers and checks at the canteen. A counter to seek currency information from the passengers has also been established.
Collector Ahmad Raza has also directed the Customs staff to e extra vigilant at all incoming and outgoing routes of the airport. With the aim to implement anti-smuggling measures, he held meetings with Additional Collectors Faiz Ali and Ali Mohtashim Minhas, airport staff and officials of the Airport Security Force.
