Appraisement Collector Sadiq collects Rs 2,057m station-wise customs duty in May

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement has collected Rs 2,057 million station wise customs duty from Mughalpura Dry Port, Carriage and Freight Station, Machikay Dry Port and Prem Nagar Dry Port during the month of May 2016.

As per details, the collctorate of Customs was able to collect Rs 652 million customs duty from Mughalpura Dry Port during the month.

The collectorate collected Rs 1,030 million from CFS station under the head of customs duty during the month while the collectorate was able to collect Rs 270 million from Machikay Dry Port in the same period.  Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 104 million customs duty from Prem Nagar during the period under review.

The collectorate, however, also reimburse refund and rebate to the importers and exporters against their claims of refunds.  The collectorate reimbursed Rs 1.03 million rebate and refund to the importers and exporters.  On the whole the station wise customs duty collection of the collectorate stood at Rs2057 million
