Collector Sadiq’s Appraisement collects Rs 9,728m duty, taxes in June

LAHORE: Customs Appraisement Lahore has collected Rs 9,728 million duty and taxes during the month of June 2016.

As per details, the collectorate of Appraisment collected Rs 3,923 million of customs duty during the month under review against Rs 4,050 million target while the collectorate collected Rs 1,050 million under the head of sales tax against the target of Rs 968 million during the month of June 2016.

On the other hand, the collectorate collected Rs 612 million under the head of withholding tax during the month of June against the assigned target of Rs 764 million.

The collectoarte collected Rs4 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) against the target of Rs 15 million for the month of June 2016. On the whole, the collectorate collected Rs 9728 million on account of all duty and taxes for the month of June 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that the Collector of Customs Apprasiemnet Mohammad Sadiq in order to collect maximum duty and taxes at the end of the year has briefed all the staff of the collectorate to put all out efforts to achieve the financial year target.

It was said that due to the sincere efforts and hardworking of the staff under the supervision of Collector Muhammad Sadiq, the collectorate was able to register 12 percent growth against the target of FY 2015-16.
