MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan sold a tampered vehicles to the Pakistan Army.
According to details, Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warriach has given the approval to sell tampered Toyota Hilux Surf vehicle to the Pakistan Army. The vehicle was seized by Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization during an action. According to the customs law, auction or sale of tampered vehicles is not allowed.
The Federal Board of Revenue gave provision to only government departments to acquire the tampered vehicles for their official use. The Customs has sold tampered Hilux Surf vehicle against Rs 25,000 only.
