KARACHI: The Collectorate Adjudication has decided to issue show cause notices to fabric importers for evading tax.
Sources told Customs Today that Collectorate Appraisement has prepared a contravention report of 20 consignments for mis-declaration. The contravention report was submitted to Collectorate Adjudication for further proceedings.
Collectorate Adjudication has rejected the report because there is no such clause present to pursue the case of mis-declaration. Collectorate Adjudication has said that they were manually amending the clause but now in electronic system only the organization can amend it who has prepared the contravention report.
Sources said that the amendment will be completed within two or three days. Collectorate Adjudication will issue show cause notices after the amendment.
