NEW YORK: The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is planning to build a new office at Sir Galahad Drive and Washington Road. The chamber’s board of directors purchased the nearly 1-acre property and plans to raze the existing house and construct a two-story professional building with plenty of offices, conference rooms and meeting areas.

The building has a traditional style, keeping true to the Camelot neighborhood’s architecture. The chamber offices have been located in the former Columbia County Health Department since 2012 with the Development Authority of Columbia County and the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Since then, the Chamber has grown to nearly 1,000 members and six full-time and three part-time employees. The rezoning and permitting processes will begin shortly, chamber officials said.
