The event is also part of trade and cultural diplomacy initiatives taken by the Ministry of Commerce and attached departments to explore new avenues that pave the way to promote Pakistani products, expand trade and boost exports to the UAE and the Gulf region.

“The Pakistan Fashion & Textile Week in UAE kicked off on Saturday and Pakistan’s Ambassador at Large Javed Malik was the Chief at a prominent five star hotel in Dubai,” a source at MoC told this scribe.

A large number of Arab Emirates and international dignitaries were also present at inaugural ceremony in order to give maximum exposure to the Pakistani designers, their talent and the products on display at the exhibition.

The MoC also believes that such initiatives not only project a positive image of Pakistan at an international level, but also create an opportunity to support and encourage talented Pakistanis and give them an international platform to showcase their work.

Pakistan Fashion and Textile Week also includes an Exhibition of Pakistani products which would continue for two days in Dubai and will be a regular occurrence in UAE. MoC and attached departments are committed to promote and encourage Pakistani entrepreneurs to enhance exports sustainable development.
