CANBERRA: Commercial Radio Australia has reported a growth in metropolitan radio ad revenue for the month of August.
The commercial radio industry has recorded growth in metropolitan advertising revenue of 5.23% for August, to a total of $62.828 million, according to figures sourced by Deloitte and released today by industry body Commercial Radio Australia (CRA).
August figures for the individual markets showed that Adelaide led growth figures, reporting a significant increase of 12.43% to $6.061 million, Sydney was also up 8.58% to $19.642 million, Melbourne rose by 4.63% to $19.314 million and Perth was up 1.31% to $8.219 million. Brisbane was down slightly on last August dropping 0.62% % to $9.593 million. The year-to-date figures show growth across all markets with a rise of 6.88% to $124.721 million.
Adelaide was up 11.98% to $11.888 million; Sydney increased 8.12% to $38.567 million, Melbourne rose 7.37% to $38.392 million; Brisbane continued the trend with a 3.77% increase to $19.436 million and Perth grew 3.22% to $16.437 million. The Deloitte figures report actual revenue received by metropolitan commercial radio stations and include all metropolitan agency and direct revenue.
