The Chief Commissioner said that the tax office wants to build good relations with traders and for this the cotton ginners should have to regard the agreement which they have signed with government this year. The RTO will follow the guideline of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and if the ginners have some issues regarding high taxes, they can contact the FBR authorities.

He said Regional Tax Office will collect tax from the ginners at the rate of 8 percent as mentioned in the industrial note.

The Chief Commissioner assured the delegation that RTO will not issue the show-cause notices to the ginners and the office will promptly pay the post-audit refunds to the ginners after the completion of audit report.

The members of PCGA apprised of their problems of taxes, refunds, low gaining of oil from seeds and non-payment from oil mills. Chief Commissioner assured them that the department is ready to solve their problems.

The delegation of PCGA was comprised of chairman Shahzad Ali Khan, vice chairman Sarfraz Nazim, Rao Sadruddin, Haji Akram and Khawaja Azam. The Additional Commissioner Headquarters Naveed Ahmad was also present in the meeting.
