According to excise and taxation officials, Region B has 382,000 property tax units and Region A has 250,000 units. Region B has been given one month to meet the task of computerization of all record of the property taxpayers. After this, process will be started in other regions of Lahore and step by step in the whole Punjab. The Excise Department has divided Punjab in to 11 regions while Lahore has three regions. Registered survey system will also be completed with it.

After the completion of computerization of data of the property, the Tax Department will be able to know the taxpayers easily and amount what they had paid. Officers will get easy access to reach the defaulters and their record. Collection from the defaulters will be easy after this process.

The Excise inspectors will not be able to issue a tax receipt according to their wishes but they will be forced to obey the law. It will be helpful to end the corruption and to increase the revenue target of the department which eventually will increase the national treasury.
