The meeting was attended by Directors, Additional Directors, Case Officers, Senior Legal Consultants and other officers concerned.

During the initial security of the record, it was discovered that luxury vehicles of 3000-CC and above were declared of low specifications as per valuation rules causing low based price for calculation of duties and taxes.

Thus national economy suffered hundreds of millions of loss due to corruption made by the accused officers of the Pakistan Customs whose names were still not disclosed.

A full plea investigation will be conducted after which a reference will be filed against the accused officers after which an FIR will be submitted for the physical remand of the culprits.

The NAB KP has progressively arrested the corrupt officers who work as black sheep in the department of the Pakistan Customs. The NAB KP official informed Customs Today that there had been a number of complaints received against the irregularities being practiced.
