Court awards jail terms, fine to drug smugglers in different cases

ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi has sent four accused persons to jail after finding them guilty of drug trafficking.

According to details, Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi Judge Chaudhry Anwar Muhammad Khan heard different cases of smuggling and sent four accused to jail, as charged against them were proved in court.

During the hearing, accused Muhammad Ramazan and Muhammad Hasham were found guilty of smuggling, so the court awarded them seven-and-a-half-year jail term, besides imposing a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.

The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Rawalpindi judge also sentenced Naeem to 11 months and imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on him. Moreover, the court sent accused Qaisar to jail for five months and imposed a penalty of Rs 15,000 on him after his involvement in smuggling of drugs was proved.
