Court grants bail to alleged drug smuggler

LAHORE: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics has granted bail in two different cases of smuggling of toxic drugs from Lahore to Malaysia and Manila.

According to details, accused Rashid Ali was allegedly involved in smuggling of toxic drugs that are being used by the youth as narcotics. During hearing of the case against Rashid Ali, the court accepted his bail plea in two cases and allowed him to go. Special Judge Khalid Nawaz accepted the bails against cash guarantees of Rs 200,000 in each case.

The Anti-Narcotics Force had registered two cases against Rashid Ali as he was arrested by the authorities while he was trying to smuggle different toxic drugs from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore to Malaysia. Another case was registered against him regarding smuggling of such drugs to Manila.

The court has directed the ANF authorities to submit a detailed report of the case in the next hearing.
