LAHORE: Trade between Pakistan and India has not been normalised in the wake of recent suicide bombing at the Wahga border.
On 2 November a suicide bomber blew himself up at Wahga border. Three terrorist outfits had claimed responsibility for the attack. As many as 60 people, including women and children, fell prey to the bombing. Three Rangers personnel were also among those killed.
Around 300 trucks carrying vegetables were crossing the border daily before the attack, but now the number has declined to 150 trucks every day. The NLC dry port also gets closed at 3pm daily. Before the terrorist attack, business activities were witnessed until 5pm daily.
According to customs officials, security agencies were taking measures to avert any untoward incident in the future.
