Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam hears 9 cases on Wednesday

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan heard nine cases of smuggling involving Rs 14.448 million field by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad, Mianwali, and Sargodha.

The Faisalabad ASO registered four cases of smuggling against the accused persons. A case was registered against Riaz Hussain allegedly involved in bringing cloth and baby shoes worth Rs 2.282 million into country without payment of duty and taxes, while another case was filed against Khurram Altaf allegedly involved in smuggling of cigarettes worth Rs 1.274 million. The ASO also forwarded the case of Iyaz Hussain allegedly involved in smuggling of Indian tea worth Rs 2.471 million and the case of Muhammad Umar involved in non-duty paid Toyota car worth Rs 1.135 million to the Customs Adjudication.

Furthermore, three cases were filed by Mianwali ASO, including a case against Asghar Hussain involved in smuggling of Toyota Hilux Double Cabin worth Rs 2.193 million, a case of Toyota Premio worth Rs 1.484 million against unknown accused and a case of Hino Truck worth Rs 1.311 million.

Additional Collector Beelam Ur Ramzan heard two others cases submitted by Sargodha ASO against Painda Khan allegedly involved in smuggling of LED TVs, TV kits, etc worth Rs 1.156 million and a case of used Hino truck worth Rs 1.139 million against Muhammad Umar.
