Gujranwala Customs Intelligence impounds Toyota Vitz worth Rs 1.6m

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department, Gujranwala, has impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Vitz worth Rs 1.6 million.

Reportedly, Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood deputed Inspector Majid Raza and his team on GT Road to check all vehicles in order to hold the non-duty paid vehicles.

The team set up a blockade on GT Road and intercepted a vehicle, Toyota Vitz and asked the driver to show document regarding the customs clearance but he could not do the same. Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle.

The owner of vehicle assured that he will pay all dues on which the officials intimated him to pay leviable duty/taxes within three days to get the vehicle back otherwise the case will be referred to the Customs Adjudication.
