Customs Adjudication issue notices to suspects involved in tax evasion

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-ur-Ramzan has issued three show cause notices to suspects allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 6,643,991.

Sources told Customs Today that additional collector issued two show cause notices filed by the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 4,181,714, besides issuing one notice in the cases filed by the ASO Mianwali involving Rs 2462277. A notice was issued to Shair Khan who is involved in smuggling of LCDs of assorted brands and models.

The Customs Adjudication served issued notice to un-claimed person involved in smuggling of a Toyota Noah bearing registration No, LES-12-7715  involving Rs 1,800,000. The last notice was issued to M/s A- one Oriental Company which is also involved in tax evasion.
