Customs Adjudication serves notice on M/S JK Spinning Mills

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan has issued a show cause Notice to M/s JK Spinning Mills Limited on claiming high rate of wastage of imported input goods (raw material) than the prescribed rate of 12 percent.

The additional collector has also directed the respondent to attend hearing of the case or submit a reply on May 27, 2016.

As per details, Model Customs Collector, Faisalabad Assistant Collector Idrees Qureshi, during audit of the mill for financial year 2012-13, observed that M/s JK Spinning Mills Limited was issued certificate of certain input goods to be consumed in manufacturing with wastage of 12 percent.

He also noticed that 88 percent input raw material was to be consumed in manufacturing. However, the manufacturer claimed wastage at higher rate than actual causing loss to the national exchequer.
