Customs Appellate Tribunal adjourns 11 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The division bench-II of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq heard 11 cases on Tuesday and adjourned all of them until the next hearing.

The tribunal started regular hearing of the cases after winter holidays of one week. The members and staff of the tribunal have enjoyed winter holidays from December 25, 2016 to January 2, 2017.

The tribunal heard 11 cases, including Pak Port International versus Customs Lahore, Tasleem Brothers versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Rehman Quilts versus Customs Faisalabad, Rehmat Ullah versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Muhammad Aamir versus Customs Lahore.

On Tuesday, Customs Appellate Tribunal heard cases, including Jan Muhammad versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Saeed Nawaz versus Customs Multan, Nadeem Mahmood versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujarat.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard the cases of Khalid Mahmood versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Customs Lahore versus Omer Lal, Muhammad Omer versus directorate of Intelligence Multan.

In all cases, the counsels for the appellants appeared before the court and presented arguments. After hearing the arguments, the tribunal members adjourns the hearing of cases for the next dates.
