ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of two customs references until May 24 following absence of parties from the tribunal.
A single bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Member Technical, Muhammad Nasir Khan, heard the cases but no one, either the appellants of respondents, appeared before the tribunal. As a result, the bench adjourned the hearing of the cases filed by Zaman Ul Haq and M/s Indus Laboratory.
The appellants in all of the cases had challenged Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad decisions before the tribunal.
It is pertinent to mention here that in absence of chairman, only one member of bench consisting Nasir Khan was holding the hearing at the tribunal.
