SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 83 properties, including offices of property dealers and impounded 42 vehicles due to non payment of property and token taxes.
Sources informed Customs Today that District Excise and Taxation Officer Muzaffar Qayyum constituted various teams to recover property and token taxes. The teams checked various properties and sealed 83 properties and offices whose owners failed to clear their outstanding dues.
Sources said that a team comprising Inspector Shabbir and Malik Riaz also impounded 42 vehicles due to non payment of token fee.
However the team shifted impounded vehicles to the concerned police stations and these vehicles would only be released after payment of token fee with fine, the sources concluded as saying.
