Customs Appellate Tribunal bench-II adjourns hearings of 12 cases

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal bench-II, comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq, heard 12 cases on Tuesday and adjourned all of them until the next hearings.

The tribunal heard 12 cases including Customs Sambrial versus Saeed Mehmood, K.P.I Private limited versus Customs Faisalabad, Awais and Shoaib and Post Clearance Audit Lahore Baz Muhammad versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, customs Lahore versus Malik Abid Hussain.

On Tuesday, the Customs Appellate Tribunal also heard cases including Abdul Ali versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Excel Pakistan versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Shahban versus customs Faisalabad and Juma Khan versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard the cases of Sky Limited versus Customs Lahore, Abdul Manan versus Customs Multan, Abdul Malik versus Customs Faisalabad and Gogha Shahbor versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Khalid Mehmood versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

In all the cases, the counsels for the appellants appeared before the court and presented arguments. After hearing the arguments from the appellant and respondent, the tribunal member adjourned the hearings of cases for the next dates. In few cases, the Customs Appellate Tribunal called the counsels for the final arguments to decide the cases soon.
