Customs Appellate Tribunal chairman to hear important cases during current week

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal chairman Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain will hear some important customs cases during the current week of September.

A single bench comprising chairman would hear the cases filed by Aftab Ahmed, M/s Mobo International and Zubair Ahmed. M/s Mobo International had filed two references. The chairman had adjourned the hearing of these cases last month

The bench would hear a case filed by Aftab Ahmed on September 19 while hearing of cases filed by M/s Mobo International and Zubair Ahmed’s cases would take place on September 23.

The bench had earlier heard brief arguments on the cases and adjourned hearing. The chairman had directed the counsels concerned to provide related material before the bench prior to next hearing.

Aftab Ahmed had filed his case at tribunal first time in 2015, M/s Mobo International had filed their cases in 2013 while Zubair Ahmed filed his case in 2014.

The said appellant had filed cases against Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad in which they had challenge decisions announced by departmental authorities.
