Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 40 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: Two benches of Customs Appellate Tribunal started hearing of cases on Wednesday and collectively heard 40 cases. The bench-I comprising chairman/Member Judicial Justice (r) Malik Manzoor Husain and Member Technical Imran Tariq heard 30 case and bench-II comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem and the Member Technical heard 12 cases.

The bench-I Member Judicial Chairman Malik Manzoor Hussain and Member Technical Imran Tariq heard 30 cases, including Collector Customs Lahore four appeals versus Riaz Builders, Murawat Khan versus Customs Faisalabad, Collector Customs Lahore versus Hanan Khan, directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad versus Rahim Dad, Adbul Khaliq versus Customs Lahore.

On Wednesday, the tribunal heard cases of Collector Customs Lahore versus Zen Tax, Rahim dad versus Customs Faisalabad, Pervaiz Enterprises versus Customs Lahore, Wahab Gul versus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Lahore versus Torey Gold, Mughal Iron versus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Lahore versus Maxi Inc and New Sealine International versus Customs Lahore.

Furthermore, Danish Traders versus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Lahore versus Riaz Brothers, Shanshah Traders versus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Sambrial seven appeals versus National Machinery, JSF Enterprises versus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Lahore six appeals versus Hafiz Plastic, KEMS International versus Customs Lahore.

Bench-II, member Judicial Omer Arshed Hakeem and member technical Imran Tariq heard twelve cases including Ali Shan versus customs Multan, Customs Lahore versus Shaukat Khanum, Irfan Aziz versus customs Multan, Customs Faisalabad versus Adam International, PEL versus Post Clearance Audit Lahore (PCA).

Tribunal also heard cases of Colony Mills versus Customs Lahore, Rashid Ahmed versus directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Muhammad Habib Khan versus Customs Faisalabad, Muhammad Amir versus Customs Faisalabad, Customs Lahore versus Punjab Impex and directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus Khawaja Mubeen.
