Customs Appellate Tribunal maintains order of adjudication autharity

LAHORE: Customs Appellate Tribunal dismissed the case of Muzaffar Khan a resident of Chakwal and Additional Collector Customs (Adjudication) Faisalabad.

Member Judicial of Customs Appellate Tribunal bench-II Omer Arshed Hakeem remarked that origional order passed by the adjudication autharity is has correct and he dismissed the case.

According to the brief facts of the case, the staff of customs ASO intercepted Mitsubishi Pajero, on demand driver Muzaffar Khan failed to produce any legal document.

The vehical was seized under section 168 of customs act 1969. The vehicle chassis number were sent for verification to Forensic Science Laboratary for examination. The laboratory report confirmed that vehicle is smuggled one and brought into the country through unauthoritized routes.

After hearing the arguments, Customs Appellate Tribunal has dismissed the case and maintain the order of adjudication authority.
