Customs Appraisement collects Rs 3,467m in first 20 days of March

LAHORE: The Customs Appraisement has recovered Rs 3,467 million customs duty, sales tax, income tax and FED (Federal Excise Duty) during the first 20 days of March 2016, registering a growth of 36 percent.

According to the official data, the collectorate collected Rs 1,149 million against Rs 933 million during the same period last year. The collectorate collected Rs 2,047 million sales tax during the period under review against Rs 1,381 million last year.

Similarly, the Customs Appraisement recovered Rs 264 million income tax during the period against Rs 237 million last year. The collectorate collected Rs 6 million FED during the period under review against Rs 4.57 million last year.  Overall, the Appraisement collected Rs 3,467 in first 20 days of March.
