Customs Appraisement East collects Rs26.5b in August 2016

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement East has collected outstanding amount Rs26.543 billion in the wake of taxes during the month of August, 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement East collected Rs 26.543 billion taxes that included Rs9.576 billion under the head of customs duty, Rs12.385 billion as sales tax, Rs4.462 billion as income tax and Rs120 million in the wake of federal excise duty in the month of August 2016.

It is pertinent to mention here the Appraisement East collected Rs 49.199 billion taxes/duties since July 1 to August 31, 2016 that included Rs17.622 billion under head of customs duty; Rs22.530 billion as sales tax, Rs8.816 billion as income tax and Rs231 million under head of federal excise duty.
