Customs Appraisement East collects Rs 30,674m duties, taxes in January 2017

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement East has collected Rs 30,674 million taxes and duties under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty during January 2017.

According to sources, the Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 30,674 million taxes and duties, including Rs 10,583 million customs duty, Rs 14,994 million sales tax, Rs 4,929 million income tax and Rs 168 million federal excise duty during the month.

While showing its extra ordinary performance, the Appraisement East Collectorate collected Rs 2,264 million on the last working day i.e. January 31, 2017 that include Rs 809 million customs duty, Rs 1,106 million sales tax, Rs 342 million income tax and Rs 8 million federal excise duty.

So far, the sources said that Customs Appraisement East has collected Rs 175,479 million taxes and duties from July 1 to January 31, 2017 that included Rs 61,247 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 84,034 million sales tax, Rs 29,394 million income tax and Rs 804 million under head of federal excise duty.
