Appraisement-East recovers Rs 36 million from OGDCL

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East has recovered an amount of Rs 36 million from the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) on applying correct PCT.

According to the details, M/s OGDCL imported a consignment through GD No 119826 dated April 01, 2014 under PCT heading 8479,9010 for oil heating equipment and paid 5 percent customs duty (CD).

While assessing the consignment, it was found that the subject consignment contained other items, which were not according to the filed GD.

Therefore, customs recovered Rs 36 million by applying correct PCT heading 6902.1010 to 7308.9090.
