Customs Appraisement issues another attachment warrant of M/s Gulistan Textile Mills Ltd

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Faisalabad has issued another attachment warrant of against M/s Gulistan Textile Mills Limited for the recovery of Rs 6.319 million in various import consignments.
According to the details, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement has issued several recovery notices to M/s Gulistan Textile Mills Ltd. located 2nd Floor Finaly House Chundrigarh Road Karachi on account of Order-in-Original No 152/2019 for the payment of dues and taxes which had been pending due to conflict of valuation rulings. The recovery department of Customs Appraisement had intimated the said defaulter’s couple of times to clear due taxes but they have not replied.
Assistant Collector Multan Dry Port Beenish Rasheed who is also recovery officer has decided to attach their moveable and immoveable properties and bank accounts of the defaulter in order to recover the pending dues of Customs after their unhelpful response for due payment . M/s Gulistan Textile Mills Limited is located in the 8-KM from Bahawalpur, Karachi Morr Samasatta district Bahawalpur in the jurisdiction of Customs Collectorate Appraisement Faisalabad.
Multan Customs Appraisement has started recovery process but said defaulter have not deposited outstanding amount and filed appeals in different forums. Therefore Customs Department has initiated stern action against them to recover their pending dues to enhance revenue collection.
Assistant Collector Beenish Rasheed has been given the task of attachment officer for recovery of the due amount from M/s Gulistan Textile Mills Ltd by taking action against them by attaching their immoveable properties and moveable properties under rule 133 and 151 of the Customs Rules 2001.
Customs Appraisement Faisalabad will also attach their bank accounts for recovery under section 202 of Customs act 1969.
