Customs Appraisement to take action against M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory for recovery of Rs3.35m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Faisalabad has decided to recover due taxes of Rs3.35 million from M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory after scrutiny of record under customs act 1969.

According to the details,  Customs Appraisement Faisalabad issued notice to M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory for the submission of record under SRO 450(I)/2001 dated 18-06-2001 but despite several reminders from Collectorate they have not submitted any record to audit branch.

Deputy Collector Aneeqa Afzal has given five days deadline for the submission of record but they failed to submit said record in this regard.

Now the Collectorate has detected several violations of provisions of Rules 307 E, 307 A,307 D read with rule 302(I)(b),307A (I),306 of SRO 450(I)/2001 and section of  32(3-A),26 and 202 of Customs act 1969 under Customs act 1969. Customs Collectorate has taken strict action against M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory and directed him to pay Rs3.35 million under rule 370 E of SRO 450 (I)/2001.

It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Collector Appraisement Faisalabad Aneeqa Afzal has directed M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory to submit required record for audit under section 26 of the Customs act 1969 after detecting irregularities during audit.

The DTRE user was asked to submit important record for the purpose of audit under rule 370 E OF DTRE rule 2001. M/s Sunrise Citrus Factory is located near village Mateela tehsil Kot Momin district Sargodha and Collectorate of Appraisement Faisalabad has asked them to submit important record for the audit under DTRE.
