Customs arrests wanted woman, hands her over to FIA

LAHORE: The Pakistan Customs has arrested a woman upon her arrival from Iran at Allama Iqbal International Airport and handed her over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further interrogations.

According to sources, the woman arrested from Lahore airport is allegedly, involved in sectarian terrorism.

The Customs handed over her to FIA Immigration. The woman was identified as Musarrat Bano was travelling from Mashahad Iran to Pakistan.

Sources said that FIA arrest Musarrat Bano at airport and claimed she was an absconder and wanted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on the charge of giving lecturers and instigating sectarian terrorism.

Musarrat Bano, a native of Sialkot, was settled with her husband in Sargodha after her marriage. She was living in Iran since 1998 with her family and came back from Mashhad to Lahore where she was arrested. The FIA officials after initial investigations handed her over to CTD Sargodha.
