Customs ASO seizes 3500 android mobile phones from Hall Road

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization detained 3500 android mobile phones worth Rs25 million from a godown located at Hall Road.

Sources told Customs Today on 4.9.2018 that Additional Collector Tayyaba Kayani  received credible information that huge quantity of non-customs paid mobile phones are dumped in a godown located at Hall Road. She immediately constituted anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Deputy Collector Muhammad Moazzam Raza comprising Superintendent Anti-Smuggling Organization Agha Qadeer Haider, Inspectors Sajjad Bukhari, Abdul Rehman Butt, Muhammad Saeed Randhwa, Abul Hassan.

The anti-smuggling squad raided a godown at Hall Road and recovered 350 android mobile phones. The guard of the godown could not provide any relevant legal documents so Customs ASO team seized all the mobile phones. After registering a case of smuggling, customs started further investigations.
