ISLAMABAD: The decision regarding the promotion of Pakistan Customs assistant private secretaries, who were selected on a seniority basis, could not be taken after lapsing of two months.
As many as eight secretaries were to promote as superintendent according to the decision. They were selected under five percent quota allocated for them. The promotion was announced for the selected candidates on February 19, 2016, when the deputy superintendents were promoted, but it was not made.
As per details, FBR Management Secretary-III Qasim Khan Khattak on September 15, 2015 sought performance evaluation report of the eight private secretaries who were selected on the basis of seniority.
The selected secretaries named Manzoor Ali Khero form Gwadar Customs, Nisar Ahmad from Faisalabad Customs, Abdul Rauf Lahore Customs Preventive, Muhammad Aurangzaib from Islamabad Customs Intelligence, Iqbal Ahmad from Hyderabad, Atiq ur Rehman from Islamabad Customs, Imran Ahmad Khan from Islamabad Appeals and Nabi Dad Odhu from Karachi PCA are waiting for their promotions.
