Customs Central Region collects Rs 13640m all duty, taxes in Dec

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs 13640 million all duty and taxes during the month of December financial year 2016-17 against the target Rs 14321million assigned for the month of December.

As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 6696 million during the month against the target of Rs 6544 million in the month of December 2016-17.

Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs 2836 million all taxes and duties during the month of December against the target of month of Rs 2866 million.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 2835 million during the period under review against the target of the Rs 4032 million during the month of December 2016-17.

In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 1272 million during the month of December against the target of Rs879 million assigned for the month of December, 2016-17.

Overall the Central Region collected all taxes and duties from all the four collectorate worth Rs13640 million against target of Rs 13435 million in December 20166.

Sources said that Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir instructed customs officials to put all-out energies to achieve the target for the financial year and bring out good results.

It was added that the collectorate have started making as much collection as they can do to achieve target for the year 2016-17.
